Get Fresh Sunday
There were in fact five series of Get Fresh in total, aas well as the three live Saturday morning series described above, there were also two series of recorded Get Fresh Sunday . These were little more than links, interviews and games between cartoons, pop videos and kids' dramas.

Get Fresh Sunday production Team

Both series of Get Fresh Sunday were made in Carlisle by Border Television. They were shot in an interior set of the Millennium Dustbin in Border TV’s "Shed" studio, under the esteemed leadership of Harry King (seen with his hand on Gaz's shoulde in the picture above)

Archive Material
As Get Fresh was a live show, there is almost nothing on 1 inch video tape or betacam in existence. Occasionally LWT would record the show in London, but it is unlikely that they have many entire programmes.

On the other hand, there might be many copies of Get Fresh Sunday archived at Border, mind you most companies trash their old stuff after a while. One other hope is that each of the regional companies may have kept the material that was shot to be included as inserts into the live shows, there might be the odd copy of Get Around, Get This Get That, Get Sweaty etc. to be found scattered around the country hidden in dusty vaults.

Get Fresh team in Northern Ireland

Get Fresh came to an end in 1988 when Gaz Top announced that he thought that the show was staring to repeat itself after only 3 years.

"We were getting a little predictable, stale even, there are only so many clotted cream items that you need to do on a Saturday morning!"It was decided not to replace Gareth with someone else, or bring in an entirely new crew for the Millennium Dustbin, so Mike Forte took the decision to can Get Fresh in order to allow ITV to develop something new and fresh in its place.

Get Fresh is fondly remembered by anyone who watched TV back in the 80s as being one of the wildest, funniest and downright cool programmes ever to appear on Saturday Mornings.

It was replaced by The Ghost Train.
