The Weekend is Over

Andrea Lewis (Presenter) Angela David (Producer)
Gareth Jones (Host)  Ruth LLoyd (Presenter) Paul Forde (Series Producer)

Gareth's anything goes Radio programme, "The Weekenders",  has livened up its last Saturday morning. But, the last programme provided anything but a 'weak end' to the run.

"The last episode was a real party", enthused Gareth, "We played the best music and moments of the show, and everybody was there who'd been involved since the show started in September 1998"

Best record award went to Groove Armada's "At The River", whilst top moments of the show included interviews with former "Animal Magic" presenter Johnny Morris and media celebrity and dental wonder Janet Street-Porter, both of whom Gareth had 'outed', not as being gay, but as being Welsh!

" I have really enjoyed the last year, having my own radio show in Wales was a real treat", mused Gareth, "I'll miss going home to Wales every week, and I'll miss my co-presenter Andrea Lewis, and the whole team"

Gareth is clearly now lacking 'something for the weekend', but it seems as if he won't need to visit his barber's in order to get it. Plans are already underway for him to return to the radio soon with a new project.
