Great Achievments
Gareth drove up to Matlock in Derbyshire in December to take part in Derby Council's Children of Achievement Awards. This is the 2nd time that the Welshman has been invited to hand out awards for Derby, having taken part in their Step Up awards in April 2001.
Many of the young achievers had either disabilities or were undergoing medical treatment, some were fabulous musicians others were tremendous in the world of sport.
"I've been to many types of awards ceremonies, but this one is my absolute favourite, it is great to see these young people who are having a bit of a tough time get a few moments when they are treated as the stars they truly are".
