A Welshman, Scotland and Whales

Even "Gaz Top" Non-Stop stops sometimes, and in August Gareth, his partner Violet and their two baby boys took a break on the West Coast of Scotland.

Highlights of the sunny trip included getting a pedicure from some cheeky shrimps in a rock pool, and a trip on the Hebridean Sea, whale watching from the MV Sheerwater.

As luck would have it, dozens of appearances from friendly Minke whales meant that a look-out was needed, and it was up to the Welshman to stand on the prow of the ship, alerting all and sundry to the next sighting with a "Thaaar she Blows!"

Just call him Ahab.
