Don't Ask How, Ask What?

Does the bloke in that photo above look familiar? no not Gareth, the other feller,
well if you have ever read any books written by Roald Dahl you might just recognize
him as the BFG. His real name is Wally and he was a builder employed by Mr Dahl,
and immortalized when he was used as the model for The Big Friendly Giant!
Gareth met Wally whilst making a show called "What's So Good About Roald
Dahl" for Channel 4 Schools. The 3 part mini-series looks at what made Roald
Dahl such a good writer of children's stories. The programme presented by Gareth
and his How2 oppo Gail McKenna reveals many of Dahl's secrets and even got special
permission to film in the shed where Dahl wrote some of his best work.
Produced by Adrian Edwards, also of How2 the show is very lively and full of
special effects, where the two presenters are stretched, shrunk launched into
the air and on one occasion Gareth even morphs into one of Dahl's most evil creations
The Bloodbottler!
"What's So Good About Roald Dahl" will be shown on Channel 4 in October, more details will appear here soon.
