How2 Stay On Telly

Gareth has just recorded the landmark 15th series of ‘How2, making ITV1’s flagship fun & facts show the longest running children’s programme on the channel.

The Welshman has presented ‘How2’ since it was first brought back in 1990, a re-make of classic 1960s series ‘How?’ (hosted by Jack Hargreaves, Bunty James and Jon Miller and the inexhaustible Fred Dinenage, who continues to host How2 as well, alongside Gareth).

And, as the original ‘How?’ itself came to an end after 14 years, How2 has now even surpassed the amazing longevity of its fondly-remembered forefather!

“I can hardly believe I’ve been on TV for 20 years, or presenting ‘How2’ for 15 of those” reflected Gareth, “I still have my first ever audition as a VJ for the 80s pop channel Music Box on tape in my loft”.

True to form, the 15th series of How2 is not resting on its laurels, but continuing its tradition of presenting intriguing stories and facts in ever more original ways. And, for the first time ever, the presenters occasionally leave the trademark white studio to explain their ‘How’ in the real world.

The series is expected to air later this year in its usual slot on ITV1 in the afternoon. Expect to see Gareth burning fire under water, visiting the Moon, Mars and Venus in one day, and blowing someone’s socks off with lightning!
