Personal Information

Gareth Jones is a 47 year old "vegequarian" with a slight lisp, and since 1981 has lived in London with a large collection of model cars and records.

He currently lives in North London with his long-standing uber-girlfriend, Violet Berlin, and their 2 small sons Tycho and Indigo, and is happier now than he has been at any other time in his life.

His hobbies and interests include: car design and motorsport, riding motor cycles, racing karts, flying model aircraft, coastal walking, playing guitar, yoga, Web design and publishing, video and audio editing, studying space history, watching Star Trek and speaking the Klingon and Welsh Languages.

Gareth Jones is proud to be a life member of the Slade Fan Club.

In his 23 years on screen; Gareth has wing-walked on top of a 50s biplane, been fired from a cannon, eaten scorpions and crickets, piloted light aircraft, been driven down a rally stage by the World Rally Champion, ridden snowboards, motor cycles, jet-skis, hovercraft, hydroplanes, gliders, karts, a jet powered skateboard, and horses. He has endured basic astronaut training, bungee jumped, been suspended from an air-sea rescue helicopter, scuba dived, and sky dived from 11,000 feet........ all in the  name of television.

His old roadie nick-name Gaz Top was dropped in the early nineties,  preferring instead to use his real name Gareth Jones,  although slips of the tongue are allowed........... occasionally!
