No fear of the camera, and (thanks to his roadie days) personal experience at
the hub of the music industry, helps Gareth pass a screen test and in the space
of three days he becomes a TV presenter.
Gareth began hosting numerous music and youth programmes for "Music Box" the
pioneering pan-European satellite music station, forerunner to MTV. For 18 months
Gareth presented and produced shows such as The Gaz Bag, The Gazette, Techno
Top, Chart Attack and the Gaz Top Running Trivia Quiz. In 1986 he wrote
and produced his
first documentary "Perseverance: The Story of Slade" shown across the UK and
Europe.
